The Shared Services Leadership Coalition (SSLC), together with co-conveners — AGA, Citizens Against Government Waste (CAGW), the Data Foundation, the National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA), the Senior Executives Association (SEA), Trachtenberg School of Public Policy and Administration at George Washington University (GW) and the College of Business, Innovation, Leadership & Technology, Marymount University — is hosting a high profile national conference with top government leaders in Spring 2026.

This conference is being designed as a call to action in support of a serious and sustainable movement to promote efficiency and modernization across the government. Our objective will be to drive the efficiency agenda into the government’s policy and cultural mainstream by engaging high level policymakers from the executive and legislative branches in this important discussion.

MORNING SESSION

This session will focus on policy issues related to efficiency and modernization and feature remarks by OMB Deputy Director for Management, Eric Ueland (accepted, pending agency clearance) and one or more Deputy Secretaries and Members of Congress. We believe this policy focus will help us reach beyond the usual cadres of agency administrative staff who attend management conferences and bring into the discussion higher-level policy and program officials whose understanding and support is crucial to the success of management initiatives in their agencies. 

AFTERNOON SESSION

This session will focus on implementation challenges and feature presentations and workshops led by executives who are leading successful modernization initiatives in the global public and private sectors. 

PRE-CONFERENCE ROUNDTABLE

We are also planning to convene a smaller roundtable discussion with key leaders from the Administration, Congress and industry on February 5th to discuss critical issues which will frame the policy discussion at the larger conference on March 5th.
